Where: Discovery Museum Science & Space Center, Sacramento
What: Kids launch bottle rockets, create their own "first step" on the simulated moon surface and learn about living in space in our Astronaut Training Center.
Tips: This event commemorates the 50th anniversary of man landing on the moon, which is in July.

Where: Oak Grove Regional Park, 4520 W. Eight Mile Rd., Stockton
What: There will be live insect displays from the Bohart Museum of Entomology and GBU Enterprises. Bug-themed crafts, games, insect races, prizes. And kids can get their faces painted.  
Tips: The event is free but it costs $5 to park.

Lorikeets Parrot at Micke Grove Zoo
: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Where: Micke Grove Zoo, Lodi
What: These beautiful parrots are returning to Micke Grove and will be on display through October 2.
Tips: Admission is $4 for adults, and $2 for kids 3-17. It also costs $5 per car to park.

When: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
What: The library's annual bilingual celebration of children & books! Festivities include music by Webe, a Bilingual StoryTime, Folkloric Dancers, snacks, crafts, face painting, prizes, paint a mural, balloons, and more! The first 200 children in StoryTime will receive a free new book!
