And Never forget… those poems that go with hand and foot prints that can be framed, and remembered when they are off having kids of their own later in life!
I miss you when we're not together
I'm growing up so fast
See how big I've gotten
Since you saw me last?
As I grow, I'll change a lot,
The years will fly right by.
You'll wonder how I grew so quick
When and where and why?
So look upon this handprint   (these handprints)That's hanging on your wall.
And memories will come back of me,
When I was very small.

"This is the hand
You used to hold
When I was only
xx years old."

This year I am super lucky! My husband bought me a new camera, Tyler made me things at school, and I am sure all my boys will be getting me cards, gifts, and so forth. I’m not a huge fan of having things be about “me”, but my two younger ones even make me celebrate my birthday (when I’d rather not think of getting older, much less the attention). Next school year I will be doing something for my middle son’s class that I do with even the church groups.
To be perfectly honest, I am really looking forward to Father’s Day!!! I want to get fishing poles, and tackle, on top of those hand/foot prints to frame and stick on “Daddy’s Desk”. I love to do things more for others than myself. And I have to be candid, my husband is an amazing “daddy”, and his (our) kids absolutely adore him. And it is why I am focused on them getting out more as “father/sons”, doing something my husband enjoys, and bonding time for years to come. Fathers have a bigger role than most people realize, he teaches our children respect, to love themselves and have higher standards, and many more great qualities… they run to mommy when an “ouwie” needs to be kissed! ~*Smiles*~
