In all honesty, I did not have the best day yesterday… and unfortunately not every day in life is going to be perfect, let alone high-quality people to worth associating with.
I did manage to salvage the day, with a trip to a park, we’d passed by, when going to a sprayground in El Dorado Hills! The park looks absolutely perfect for a birthday party, BBQ, and I love how it has horses (In Orangevale)! You can’t exactly pet the horses, there is a warning for the electrical fence, but they seem friendly and approach when talked to (obviously socialized and friendly)...

Raising confident boys

Raising confident boys

I have to admit, that most if not all, tips in this book are common sense parenting and not exclusive to boys. The fact is, in our society we’re so bent on pretending that being born a girl somehow makes one better (why we have girls running around thinking they are a princess). I have to say, when I was blessed with all boys, the wisdom I gained from watching others, if we don’t start to lift up the little boys and young men, we’re going to have a huge lack later in life...

Meet and Greet Scarf

Meet and Greet Scarf

Here is Scarf, the role-model cat in our family. He was adopted from an Animal Shelter sometime last year.

We got our very first cat about 3 years ago but after a few weeks he left us and never came back. Scarf is always with is through thick and thin, blur or purr... stayed with us and his ways of welcoming us whenever we come home after a short trip away from home is always therapeutic.

Scarf, as his name implies, feels like a comfy security  blanket.

~*California State Fair 2011*~Tuesday, July 26th, 2011

One of the big attractions to the State Fair is the bug exhibit! Where everything is well over sized, huge mechanical bugs, and to be honest Tyler and Anthony were absolutely horrified and scared…

First up, was a preying mantis, that was down low, and soon started to raise up, and must have been at least twenty feet tall when it literally stood up and reached its arms out. This was all it took for Anthony; he ended up in his daddy’s arms, and head in his chest the remainder of the walk through.

~*Hugs*~ For mommy's lil man

~*Hugs*~ for my little man Tyler!!! While at the park, he was climbing down, and hit his forehead of all things. And the people there were so kind, offering us ice from their BBQ, asking to make sure their child had nothing to do with it, and again offering ice. We ended up leaving because we couldn’t calm him dowm, and did get him to ice, and where we can keep an eye… just make sure he isn’t climbing up onto anything if it was worse than it seemed...
