Expectant mother driver in Antelope crash
News

The California Highway Patrol said a woman who is 20 weeks pregnant was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after her minivan was struck by a pickup truck Monday in Antelope.

The baby is expected to live. CHP said the woman, 33, was driving south on Palmerson Drive when her minivan was struck by a pickup truck that ran a red light on westbound Palmerson Drive. The pickup truck was driven by a 39-year-old man from Sacramento.

Both the man and the pregnant woman were taken to the hospital. CHP said it suspects that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
